Who we are- Hearing Loss Foundation

First and foremost, Sophia is Mom to a son with severe-to-profound hearing loss.  She found her calling in 2012 as the Vice President of Events and Board member for the H.E.A.R. Project.  Sophia is a Hearing loss advocate, determined to help find a cure for hearing loss.  Fascinated by the hair-cell regeneration project, and passionate about raising hearing loss awareness, Sophia shares her journey and tips, as a Hearing Loss blogger for for hearingaidmom.com.  In addition to her time spent advocating, and blogging, Sophia is an e-book Author, creator of Hearing Loss toddler playgroup- "Moms of kids with hearing loss", and Founder of The Hearing Loss Foundation.  

Sophia is a voice for her son and children like him.  She has two children- Thimio (age 7) born with Connexin 26 bilateral hearing loss; Athena (age 5) "Hearing Aid, Sis" does not have hearing loss.
